South Africa: McGregor
Forgive me please for including more pictures in this gallery than any other. I simply love the place. It is perhaps the best restored Victorian village in South Africa. It is deep in the glorious Robertson wine valley, supremely photogenic and perhaps above all, the home of 'The Trossachs' where my son Matthew married my lovely daughter-in-law, Tara in 2005. Have a look at my pictures but better still, go and see for yourself!
The lake at 610
It just gets better. Standing on the bank of this lake early in the morning I wished to share the experience with the whole world. I was a little short of my objective as no-one was visible in any direction. I think Charlie Waite would have appreciated this landscape but I cannot trace that he has photographed this magnificent country.
