South Africa: McGregor
Forgive me please for including more pictures in this gallery than any other. I simply love the place. It is perhaps the best restored Victorian village in South Africa. It is deep in the glorious Robertson wine valley, supremely photogenic and perhaps above all, the home of 'The Trossachs' where my son Matthew married my lovely daughter-in-law, Tara in 2005. Have a look at my pictures but better still, go and see for yourself!

McGregor
This 'skyline' shows how small this village is. Everything that is good about South Africa is here. Blacks, coloureds and whites all living in harmony, the McGregor winery, superb accomodation, art galleries and the old wrought iron facades of the Victorian buildings. Hills that capture the early morning sun and mountains that reflect the evening light. Do visit - the people will love to welcome you!
