This is an idyllic lodge about 20 miles north of Durban, and overlooking the Indian Ocean. Golf, indigenous animals and birds in profusion. In the gardens at least 3 varieties of Kingfisher can be spotted. All part of the service is a drive down to the beach (and back at your discretion) and on the five minute trip you are likely to be greeted by monkeys and dieker. A lovely place to stay.

The Indian Ocean

Most people prefer the safety of the Lodge pools. Not only is the water pretty chilly even in high summer but the sea develops a very strong undertow with the red flag frequently flying.
