The Gulf of Morbihan: Sucinio
Sucinio is a fortress dating back to the 13th century and was completed in the 15th century. It is situated on a narrow neck of the Rhuys Peninsula and guarded against invaders from the sea and from the Gulf at Sarzeau. It is in a constant phase of restoration as I will point out in one or two of the photographs. This is, perhaps, the most significant building on the Rhuys peninsula.
