Victoria Falls
One of the truly awesome sights of the world. The falls, over a mile wide on the Zambezi river, straddle both Zambia and Zimbabwe. My pictures are taken from the eastern cataract in Zambia, just below Livingstone and a short walk from the Royal Livingstone and Zambezi Sun hotels.
It just gets better!
The velocity of the water and the depth of the fall ensures spray of such intensity that a cloud is formed above the falls that returns as torrential rain.Although you get drenched it is warm, exhilarating, and simply fantastic.
