Victoria Falls
One of the truly awesome sights of the world. The falls, over a mile wide on the Zambezi river, straddle both Zambia and Zimbabwe. My pictures are taken from the eastern cataract in Zambia, just below Livingstone and a short walk from the Royal Livingstone and Zambezi Sun hotels.

From the bridge

From the bridge

David Livingstone discovered the falls as recently as 1855 and he sent a message back to Queen Victoria that no-one would believe him when he described what he had seen! An iron bridge was constructed some fifty years later spanning the river and providing a rail connection between the two countries. The picture was taken from the bridge at the point where people of unfathomable courage bungee jump!

Location: Zambezi
