Medieval Churches of North Oxfordshire
There are more than 700 churches of the Christian faith in Oxfordshire. Some of the most beautiful, in idyllic settings are in the North of the county and this gallery will include them all. I make no judgement of the respective merits of the featured churches. They are all a stunning reminder of our rich heritage. Two of the finest, Adderbury and Bloxham are in the Cherwell Valley gallery so I will not repeat them here as are a number of other churches so do please view both galleries for a full picture. I must acknowledge the huge reliance I have placed upon the incredible work of Jennifer Sherwood in my brief description of each church. Her book, 'A Guide to the Churches of Oxfordshire' is currently out of print but is well worth seeking out on E-bay or Amazon.I have a full set of pictures for each church including interiors and I am very happy to make them available by e-mail attachment without charge.
